As part of the agreement, Castrol will select a number of outlets from its network of over 750 Castrol Auto Service (CAS) service centres across the country for use by VinFast customers. The selected outlets will feature dedicated VinFast-branded service bays, certified EV technicians, and genuine VinFast parts. VinFast confirmed that its customers will gain access to Castrol’s “well-established expertise, advanced service protocols, and a digitally integrated workshop ecosystem. “
VinFast will provide technical and warranty process training for CAS personnel, as well as service manuals and diagnostic tools, while Castrol will ensure that the workshops meet “infrastructure and capability standards.”
VinFast recently launched its VF6 and VF7 battery-powered SUVs in India and is building a sales and service network with a number of strategic partners, including Castrol. In August, the company also launched production at its first overseas assembly facility in Thoothukudi, in India’s Tamil Nadu state, which has an initial capacity of 50,000 vehicles annually, scalable to 150,000 units. It aims to have in place 35 dealerships in 27 cities across India by the end of 2025.
VinFast Asia’s CEO, Pham Sanh Chau, said in a statement: “For VinFast, India represents not just a new market but a long-term commitment to building an inclusive EV ecosystem. Reliable aftersales care is central to this vision, and our collaboration with Castrol India along with other partners ensures that customers will have access to trusted, high-quality service across the country from the beginning. This initiative also aligns with both companies’ commitments to supporting India’s transition towards sustainable mobility by making EV ownership hassle-free and future-ready.”
