“With our new Test Centre we are expanding much-needed test capacities for batteries and battery systems of electric vehicles.”

In order to offer the additional test services in a timely manner, Valmet Automotive has broken new ground with test-bed specialist, AVL. Valmet Automotive is expanding its existing battery testing capacities by adding four AVL battery test-beds in container-based design.

In comparison to traditional test-bed engineering, the container-based design has the advantage of allowing test-bed set-up and pre-installation.

Valmet Automotive director of testing, Stefan Sommer revealed in a presentation at the groundbreaking ceremony, the containers will be set up in an area of 1,500 square metres.
