Valmet Automotive has completed the expansion of its manufacturing facility in Zary, Poland, enhancing its capabilities in vehicle contract manufacturing and battery systems.

According to the company, the construction of extended high-tech manufacturing and logistics facilities has been completed.

The Zary plant is a key site for the production of convertible roof systems and kinematic components, including electric vehicle charging flaps and active spoilers.

The expansion project commenced in January 2025 and was developed by Panattoni, a global industrial real estate developer.

Valmet Automotive’s roof and kinematic systems senior vice president Remigiusz Grześkowiak said: “This investment marks an important step in our European expansion. Our plant is reaching a higher level, and we will significantly increase production capacity, but also contribute to local economic development and create over 300 new jobs.”

The extension adds 8,800m2 to the existing plant, bringing the total production area to over 26,000m2, designed to accommodate increasing customer demands.
