According to the Associated Press (AP), United Auto Workers Local [branch] 898 reached a tentative agreement with the company on May 21 – less than two hours before the union’s strike deadline – but that agreement still needed to be ratified by union members.

Visteon spokeswoman Tammera Hallums reportedly told The Ann Arbor News that the company was pleased with the workers’ decision to approve the agreement, but she declined to provide details of it.

AP said union officials outlined the terms of the agreement to their members in a series of meetings while members voted. Union representatives reportedly said the agreement was approved, but did not divulge specifics of the deal.
