The Prius, which was the world’s first mass-produced petrol/electric hybrid vehicle, first went on sale in North America in July 2000. The 2004 model Prius will be larger and even more fuel efficient than its predecessor and will have an all-new hybrid system.

Claimed to be the most ‘American’ Toyota to date, the 2004 Camry Solara coupe was developed in the US by Toyota Technical Centre in Ann Arbor, Michigan, styled by Calty Design Studio in Newport Beach, California, and will be built exclusively at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky in Georgetown.
