Toyota
Motor Corp. is considering expanding its truck-making capacity – including pick-ups
– at its Princeton, Ind. production site, writes the Wall Street Journal (22/11/00)
citing Vice President for Sales at Toyota’s US marketing division, Alan DeCarr.

Quoting Mr DeCarr – speaking at a press conference – WSJ says that Toyota is considering
expanding its truck range. Mr Decarr is reported to have said that the right products
need to be built and engine plants are required to make sure that Toyota has the
capacity to build new models.

He continued, saying that an announcement would be made later on with additional
Indiana production anticipated, although he did not go into detail as to when
Toyota would announce additional US production moves, according to WSJ.
