XM Satellite Radio, which claims to be the leading provider of satellite radio in the US with more than 4.4 million subscribers, has announced that Suzuki will offer its service for the first time this autumn in the redesigned 2006 Grand Vitara and XL-7 SUVs.


The vehicles will arrive “XM-Ready” at dealerships from mid-September.


The XM hardware will be available as a dealer-installed option for for $US399.00 plus installation.


Suzuki buyers who activate the XM Radio service at the dealership will get free access to the service for three months; thereafter the 150 channels will cost $12.95 a month.
