Remy supplies components to global automotive, small-engine, commercial truck, industrial, agricultural, construction, marine and hybrid systems vehicle and equipment manufacturers.
Scheduled to open in mid-2005, the new facility will include a range of on-site engineering, purchasing, supplier development and product testing operations. Daegu was chosen because of the city’s status as a respected centre of industry and education and for its central location to customers.
“The impressive new centre, combined with additional planned expansion of our global product research, engineering and support capabilities, will result in quick-to-market, leading-edge products and stronger customer relationships for Remy and the Delco Remy brands,” a spokesman said.
