Les Schwab Tire Centers said today that based on an agreement with Firestone, they will replace the Firestone tires listed in a September 1st consumer advisory by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) at no charge to customers. These tires are in addition to those listed in an earlier voluntary recall.

The consumer advisory listed a number of Firestone tire models and sizes, or a total of 1.4 million tires, that were not included under a voluntary recall issued in early August. The advisory covered certain ATX, Firehawk ATX, ATX 23 Degree, Widetrack Radial and Wilderness tires. For a complete list of the tires affected, customers may consult the consumer advisory, which is available at your local Les Schwab dealer.
