Gordon Dickie, with more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, has been hired by Kia Motors America (KMA) as director of product quality, leading a new 15-member department devoted to higher levels of vehicle quality in the rapidly expanding Kia product range sold in the American market.

In this role, Dickie will be responsible for increasing levels of quality through the department’s involvement in new vehicle development, product engineering, and accessory development.

Dickie comes to Kia after nine years with Mazda where he held a variety of posts including vice president of engineering, manufacturing and supply, vice president research and development, and most recently vice president, customer service and parts operations.

Prior to Mazda, Dickie was nine years at Volvo North America working in several areas of the company. He’s also worked for various dealers in Europe and North America.
