Jaguar North America reported today that monthly sales show an increase for the eighteenth consecutive month. Sales in the United States for September, totaled 3,007 cars sold, an increase of more than seven percent compared with September 1999. Year-to-date sales have increased nearly 42 percent compared with the same period last year, for a total of 32,838 cars sold.

The Jaguar S-TYPE achieved the best ever September, totaling 1,566 S-TYPEs sold, for an increase of nearly 29 percent compared with the same month last year. Jaguar XJ Series sales totaled 1,218, an increase of more than ten percent compared with September 1999. Year-to-date Jaguar XK sports car sales increased more than 12 percent compared with the same period last year.
