In a statement, Goodyear said no deliveries to customers have been affected so far.
All of the supplier’s North American tyre and engineered products plants are operating, although tyre production has been reduced by about 30% due to shortages. Goodyear expects to increase production as the raw material disruption eases in the coming weeks.
Production resumed in Bayport and Houston after the hurricane, and the company’s Beaumont operations resumed partial production last Friday. Full capabilities are expected at Beaumont when utilities are restored.
Goodyear said it is still assessing the storm’s impact on its financial results. It expects that the effects of higher production, raw material and transport costs will be felt in the third and fourth quarters.
