USA: GM clinks more gold coin under ’03 buyers’ noses
General Motors on Friday began offering customer cash rebates of up to $US3,000 on most Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile and Pontiac 2003 models. The offer is available until February 28.

GM is also offering zero percent finance on most ’03 passenger car models, excluding the Cadillac, Hummer and Saab brands and the Chevrolet Corvette.
Even the newly-launched Saturn Ion is included in a zero percent offer.
“This new marketing programme will allow us to kick off the new year and continue our sales momentum,” said GM North America vehicle sales head John Smith.
