Gentex Night Vision Safety mirrors automatically darken to reduce glare from the headlamps of vehicles approaching from the rear. The brighter the glare, the darker the mirrors become, making nighttime driving safer, according to Gentex.

Both the Titan and the Pathfinder Armada feature a Gentex auto-dimming mirror equipped with Johnson Controls’ HomeLink Wireless Control System. Three buttons located on the face of the mirror can be programmed to operate garage doors, estate gates, security systems, home lighting, and other radio-frequency controlled devices. The mirror also displays the outside temperature and the vehicle’s compass heading, which is generated by Johnson Controls’ PathPoint Digital Compass System.

The Gentex mirror is standard on the LE models and optional on the SE models of both vehicles.

“The Titan is the first full-size pickup truck from a non-Big-Three automaker to offer a Gentex mirror,” stated Gentex Executive Vice President Garth Deur. “The Titan and Pathfinder Armada’s use of Gentex technology demonstrates Nissan’s commitment to using auto-dimming mirror as a differentiator and platform for advanced features.”
