GDX Automotive is to purchase BorgWarner’s vibration damper business, marking the company’s re-entry into the anti-vibration components business in North America and providing a platform on which to grow GDX’s current European moulded rubber and rubber-to-metal product offerings.

GDX expects to complete the transaction by the end of August. Terms were not disclosed.
The Farmington Hills, Michigan, global supplier designs and makes sealing systems for both dynamic and static automotive applications. Products include weather-strip seals, glass encapsulation, modular sealing systems and anti-vibration
components.
Its European headquarters and technical centre is in Grefrath, Germany.
