USA: Ford yet to get UAW agreement on plant closings – report
Ford’s North American division boss Jim Padilla has reportedly said that the company has not yet reached a formal agreement with the United Auto Workers to finalise the plant closures Ford announced last January. Speaking during an interview with website The Car Connection (TCC), Padilla said that the UAW did, however, understand the situation and added that he was condifident the union would ultimately approve the closures.

TCC noted that Ford’s current agreement with the UAW bars factory closures but comes up for renewal next year.
