Ford will lease approximately 200,000 square feet of building space to develop the centre on Highway 41 in Princeton, just north of Evansville.

Last year, Ford announced plans to replace its existing group of 10 parts distribution facilities with 21 new centres located around the country, creating a nationwide network of specialized parts hubs that will allow dealers to order and receive parts every day, instead of the once-per-week standard under the previous system.

The new centre in Princeton will be one of 19 such facilities opened across the country and will supply service and repair parts to about 300 dealers in Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky and Tennessee.

The Princeton centre will have about 55 employees, most transferring from other Ford facilities.
