Ford Motor Company is creating a convertible four-wheel drive vehicle set to challenge the Jeep Wrangler, according to Associated Press (6/8/00).

The model, expected to debut in 2003 as a 2004 model, is to share a chassis similar to the redesigned Ford Ranger pickup, which is set to go on sale in 2002.
