USA: Ford Hearings

The following statement is attributable to Jason Vines, Vice President - Ford Motor Company today confirmed that the U.S. House Commerce Committee and Senate Commerce Committee investigating the Firestone tire recall have accepted its proposed experts, Helen Petrauskas and Tom Baughman. Both will appear before hearings that begin next Wednesday in Washington, D.C. Ms. Petrauskas is Vice President-Environmental and Safety Engineering and is a well-known expert in those areas. Mr. Baughman is Engineering Director of North American Truck. He led the Ford team that analyzed the Firestone data leading to Firestone's voluntary recall.
