Thomas (Tony) K. Brown, 45, is vice president, Global Purchasing, reporting to Carlos Mazzorin, group vice president, Asia Pacific Operations, South American Operations and Global Purchasing. His appointment is effective immediately.

Philip R. Martens, 41, is vice president, Vehicle Programs and Processes, reporting to Chris Theodore, vice president, North America Product Development. His appointment is effective March 1.

Brown had been executive director, Ford Global Manufacturing Procurement Operations, a position he has held since April 2000. Prior to that, he was director, Ford Purchasing Global Strategic Planning and Process Leadership.

He joined Ford in July 1999 from United Technologies Automotive where he was vice president of Supply Management. Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from American International College in Springfield, Mass.
