“We are proud to be entrusted with Ford Motor Company’s largest truck application,” said president of Delphi Saginaw Steering Systems president Robert Remenar. “Expanding our customer base reinforces Delphi’s competitiveness in steering components.”
The columns will feature energy absorbing occupant protection technology, in which Delphi claims to lead the industry.
“Delphi’s expertise in occupant protection and electrical subsystems integration plays a key role in our ability to meet our customers’ steering column requirements,” said Remenar.
In recent years, Delphi has won several other contracts from Ford to provide energy & engine management products, transmission products, instrument clusters, electronics, electrical/electronic distribution systems, thermal products and sensors.
