Dana Corporation’s Traction Technologies Group is supplying front and rear axles for what a company statement describes as “Land Rover’s future platform initiatives in the premium sport-utility market”.
Likely translation: the next Range Rover due to go on sale next February and a Jaguar-engined update of the current Discovery line-up due out in about a year.
Dana’s statement revealed no specification details of the new axles.
The company is understood to have a number of expatriate American staff from the Pittsburgh region in the UK to work on Land Rover platform projects.
