Dana Corporation has signed a 50/50 joint venture to make and assemble vehicle axles and other components in China, according to a Reuters report.

Dana reportedly said it signed the venture with Dongfeng Motor Co. Ltd. and the venture will provide components for Dana’s global operations.
According to Reuters, the move is the latest in the trend seen in the past few years in which global automotive parts makers have been shifting some of their productions to China where its cheaper to make products and retain higher margins.
