Covisint, the US-based B2B automotive industry trading exchange, today named Lars Olrik, 39, a consultant, as the managing director of its European operations – Covisint Europe. Olrik’s previous post was at Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, U.K., where he was vice president and member of the European B2B industry practice with responsibility for the automotive industry.
“Lars Olrik’s appointment will help Covisint Europe move swiftly to engage our European customers and prospects,” said Peter Weiss, executive vice president, International Operations, Covisint, L.L.C. “He will play an increasingly important role as we continue to establish our European operations and further develop our product offerings to the broader industry.”
Mr. Olrik is originally from Denmark, living in the U.K., and received his degree in Economics from the University of Denmark in Copenhagen.
The appointment comes at a critical time for Covisint, which is facing some criticism in the industry for not moving more quickly to develop its suite of products.
