Nishikawa Rubber Company Ltd. and Cooper-Standard Automotive, an operating group of Cooper Tire & Rubber Company, have announced today the strengthening of their long-term strategic global alliance. The two companies have created a Global Synergies Board, which will oversee the activities of a number of functional synergy teams acting on a global basis.

Leadership of these initiatives will be through a Global Synergies Board made up of the following: representing Nishikawa Rubber Company, Eiso Tamaki, executive vice president; Nick Miyoshi, general manager of International Sales & Engineering; Tetsuo Uemachi, managing director; and representing Cooper-Standard Automotive, Rod Millhof, president of Global Sealing Division; Brian Batey, president of European Sealing Division; and Frank Burnside, president of North American Sealing Division. Reporting to the Global Synergies Board will be teams covering global program management, technology, commercial, manufacturing and other synergies.

Both Tamaki and Millhof emphasized that the initiative would strengthen the ability of the two companies to offer a fully integrated approach to global customers. “By combining the best practices of each company, we will be in a unique position to support our customers’ global design and manufacturing requirements as well as their demands for full-service support, innovation, quality and competitiveness,” Millhof said.
