Just weeks after the US government announced plans to begin testing new cars and trucks for rollover potential, Continental Teves has shown off new technology to monitor a vehicle up to 150 times per second and keep it upright.


The new system, called (surprise, surprise) anti-rollover protection, or ARP, anticipates vehicle rollover and then applies individual brakes automatically depending on which way the car is veering, to quickly straighten and up-right the vehicle before it turns and flips over. ARP is still, however, under development.
