This year marks a 46 percent sales increase from the previous year. More than 3,200 Chrysler Group dealers have shopped online with MarketCenter and 2/3 are buying two or more products and/or services per month.
MarketCenter offers Chrysler Group dealers discounts on various products and commodities that range from office supplies, fuel, computers, uniforms, shipping services, and more at volume discount pricing.
“Chrysler Group dealers have spent approximately $45 million this year alone on MarketCenter and we anticipate that number to reach $54 million by the year’s end,” said Christine MacKenzie, Vice President Dealer Operations for the Chrysler Group. “Our dealers consistently use MarketCenter because we add strategic suppliers who offer products and services needed to help reduce dealer operating expenses. In 2003, Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep dealers have saved approximately $8 million.”
When MarketCenter launched in August of 2000, it had six strategic partners supplying products and services to dealers. Today, 30 suppliers are featured in the virtual marketplace and the Chrysler Group plans to add more to the list.
