USA: Buick to replace Regal with LaCrosse for ’05 – paper
Another long-serving General Motors North American car model name looks set to bite the dust, according to Automotive News.
The paper said Buick officials have decided to rename the Regal sedan LaCrosse when an all-new version debuts in model year 2005.

Buick notified dealers on Thursday of the plan, Automotive News said, adding that one source familiar with the decision says GM officials feel the re-engineered and restyled model needs to be marketed as a new model.
