The US$37.5-million, 225,000 sq. ft. site, on 76 acres, is expected to be ready for in the first quarter of 2007, and will initially house 475 staff.
The new centre will house research and development and provide administrative space for the automotive body electrical and electronics division.
Technology to be engineered at the centre will include iBolt sensing technology, adaptive cruise control, predictive safety systems and driver assistance systems.
