USA: Bankruptcy judge unlikely to let previous Daewoo distributor block successors’ sales – report
Bloomberg News on Thursday reported that a judge indicated it is unlikely that Daewoo Motor America, the bankrupt sales unit of insolvent Daewoo Motor Co., would be allowed to block General Motors and Suzuki from selling Daewoo vehicles in the US under their own brand names. The report cited Suzuki spokeswoman Celeste Speier as saying that US Bankruptcy Judge Sheri Bluebond in Los Angeles said she probably would deny Daewoo's request for a temporary restraining order.
