American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings (AAM) today announced that it has been selected as the supplier of rear axle shafts for a future model year Chrysler Group vehicle.
The axle shafts will be upset, extruded, milled and centered at AAM’s Detroit Forge facility.
“We are extremely pleased to have earned this contract from the Chrysler Group,” said AAM Co-founder, chairman & CEO Richard E. Dauch.
“It represents AAM’s first forging contract with DaimlerChrysler and is a further demonstration of our commitment to diversify our customer base across the operating divisions.”
