A Datamonitor report said that, at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas recently, Google founder Larry Page said the two companies were aiming to integrate the Google application Google Earth, a 3D electronic world map, into VW cars.
Google software will allow single images from satellites and aerial photographs to be incorporated into a detailed visual navigation system able to zoom in on buildings, the report added.
Volkswagen declined to comment on the alleged cooperation agreement, Datamonitor said.
