Volkswagen Group of America plans to recruit 200 people for production jobs at its Chattanooga plant in Tennessee.
These people will be hired over the next 10 weeks as the company looks to increase the plant’s manufacturing capacity from 31 cars per hour to 35, BIDNESS ETC reported.

Ryan Rose, Volkswagen Group of America’s human resource general manager, said all 200 positions would be permanent.
Meanwhile, the company’s plan to open a North American engineering and planning centre and launch new SUV models would lead to the creation of around 9,800 automotive engineering jobs, according to UT Centre of Business and Economic Research.
