Visteon plans to shut down its technical and engineering centre in Holland, Michigan, as most of its clients are located in metro Detroit, 180 miles away.

At present, the centre has a workforce of 240 employees. Of these, 145 will be shifted to the company’s facility in Van Buren Township, 30 will be transferred across global operations, while the remaining posts will be eliminated, WZZM13.com reported.

While the centre will be closed by the end of 2015, job cuts will commence from September.
