David Bonderman and Rob Krebs are to leave the board of General Motors in June. Each was appointed to the panel by the US government in July 2009 as the company exited bankruptcy protection.
According to a regulatory filing, Bonderman will not seek election at the company’s annual meeting, while Krebs plans to retire. No replacements for GM’s 14-member board were named in the 4 February filing.

Bonderman, 71, is a co-founding partner of private investment company TPG, and Krebs, 72, is the retired chairman and CEO of freight railroad network Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation.
General Motors’ annual shareholders’ meeting is traditionally held in June but no date has been announced for this year.
