“Scion will get a huge shot in the arm with two new products,” Yoshi Inaba, president and chief operating officer of Toyota Motor North America, said at the Automotive News World Congress.
Inaba told delegates that Scion’s declining volumes in the last two to three years were caused by the absence of new product.
Scion suffered a 49% sales decline last year.
He also said Toyota will build the Prius hybrid in Mississippi when the Blue Spring plant becomes operational.
