Doug Field, until recently the president of Mac hardware engineering at Apple, is to shift to Tesla Motors to become vice president of vehicle programmes.
According to the Palo Alto-based car company, its new VP led the development of many new products at Apple including the latest MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and iMac. He began his career as an engineer at Ford.
