Subaru of America has hiked its 2014 full year sales forecast 40,000 units to a record 500,000 vehicles and expects a year on year rise of over 17%.
To the end of August, the Fuji Heavy Industries brand had sold 333,968 units, up 18.6% with August volume a record 50,246, up 22.4%.

New product is behind the boost. Subaru attributed its fifth consecutive sales record in 2013, 424,683 vehicles, up 26% partly to the launch of the 2014 Forester and new XV Crosstrek, a small crossover. Launches this year include the 2015 Outback crossover and Legacy sedan.
