Nissan North America is recalling 5,412 model year 2014 Infiniti Q50 hybrid vehicles manufactured from 10 December, 2012 to 25 June, 2014, and Infiniti Q70 hybrids made between 7 November, 2013 and 7 May, 2014 due to a software error that may result in the electric motor stopping while the vehicle is being driven using the electric motor only.

The stall-like condition that occurs when the electric motor stops working may increase the risk of a crash.
