The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating 121,000 units of the 2013 Dodge Dart for a braking problem.
The agency has, so far, received 18 complaints claiming the brake pedal suddenly becomes hard to depress and the braking distance increases.

Some drivers said they heard a “pop noise or an air hissing noise when applying the brake pedal, followed by a hard pedal feel and reduced brake effectiveness.”
Others said they had to make use of the parking brake in order to stop the vehicle, The Detroit News reported.
