Kia Motors America (Kia) is recalling 7,722 2011 Sportage vehicles made from 7 March to 8 June 2011 for a switch check.
The automaker has found the brake light switch may intermittently fail. If it is not working, the brake lights will not illuminate, reducing the ability to warn following motorists of the driver’s intention to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
