Toyota’s US unit is recalling around 130,000 2014 Tundra Crew-Max Cab and Double Cab pickup trucks to check curtain airbags.
The automaker said in a statement possible incorrect installation of a trim piece on the centre pillars could interfere with the side curtain-shield-airbags if they deploy and the ‘bag may not achieve its intended inflated shape.

“Toyota is not aware of any crashes, injuries or fatalities caused by this condition,” the automaker said.
Dealers will replace the center pillar garnishes if required.
Toyota spokesman John Hanson told the Detroit News the problem was discovered after a February test for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s new car assessment programme. Toyota then investigated the issue to determine the problem.
