Planning started for a new facility in 2012. In 2013, the Rooker group worked with Inalfa, Cherokee County representatives and other suppliers to design, build and complete the facility in six months for its scheduled move in November last year.

“As we finished the last wall of the facility, we were already back in the planning mode to add the expansion we are occupying today,” said Inalfa CEO IRS NA, Doug Rizzi.

The operation currently produces roof systems for BMW, Ford and Nissan programmes. In 2015, the company will add GM business and glass encapsulation capabilities.

Inalfa says it expects to increase staffing at the Cherokee facility from 250 to more than 400 by 2016.
