Hella recently received new business from General Motors and also has been chosen by Ford as a strategic supplier for exterior lighting.
The company plans to double its global sales from US$3.8bn by 2012.
“Despite intense competition, layoffs and downsizing at some domestic auto manufacturers and suppliers, Hella is growing and we are hiring,” said human resources manager Steve Williams.
“We will be hiring both experienced engineers and graduate students to join the current staff of 120 engineers at our North American headquarters in Plymouth.”
