Goodyear has posted third quarter segment operating income of US$520m million, up 21%, with what it says are record North America Q3 earnings up 30% to US$210m.

“We delivered outstanding earnings growth in the quarter and achieved a segment operating income margin of more than 11%, the highest in more than a decade, despite an increasingly challenged global economy,” said Goodyear chairman and CEO, Richard Kramer.
