According to the Associated Press (AP), the plant has been shut down since 6 March due to a parts shortage caused by the American Axle & Manufacturing strike but GM spokesman Dan Flores had said the automaker had found another source for the parts while declining to provide details.


United Auto Workers Local [branch] 2250 chairman Bill Schiltz told AP union leaders were concerned about where those parts were coming from.
