General Motors is recalling 117,651 cars and trucks in North America because of a potential manufacturing defect in their chassis-control systems.

According to CNS News, vehicles affected by the recall are the model year 2013-2014 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban; 2013-2014 Cadillac CTS; 2013-2014 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL; 2013-2014 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV; 2014 Chevrolet Traverse; 2014 GMC Acadia; 2014 Buick Enclave; 2014 Chevrolet Express; 2014 GMC Savana; 2014 Chevrolet Silverado HD; and 2014 GMC Sierra HD.

CNBC said 97,540 affected vehicles are in the US.

GM said it was unaware of any crashes, injuries or deaths related to the chassis-control problem. The automaker estimated that roughly 1% of the recalled vehicles suffer from the defect, according to the report.

About 4,500 of the vehicles being recalled are unsold at dealers and will be repaired before being sold.
