General Motors’ ignition switch related claims programme has approved seven more death related claims, taking the toll to 124.
Latest data shows there are no more claims still under review of 4,342 received with 390 ruled eligible, 3,499 ineligible and 453 ‘deficient’ (eg lacking sufficient or any supporting information).
Of the eligible claims, another 266 payments were made for two classes of injury. Eleven claims for serious injury were paid out for but reclassified into the less serious category.
