Global light vehicle assembly is forecast by Autofacts, PwC’s automotive analyst group, to reach 81.8m units in 2013, a 3.3% gain on the previous year.
Autofacts’ analysis points to recovery next year in Europe, with recovery continuing to many vehicle markets around the world.
“Consumer demands and regulatory requirements are motivating the global automotive industry to push ahead with technological breakthroughs on a larger scale,” noted Rick Hanna, PwC’s global automotive leader.
