The Zeeland, Michigan-based supplier of automatic-dimming rearview mirrors also announced that it repurchased approximately 7.2m shares during the period.
Earnings per share were $0.18 in the second quarter of 2006, compared with $0.17 in the 2005 quarter.
Net sales also increased 8%, to $281.4m, in the first six months of the year, while H1 net income rose 3% to $53.6m.
